How to Throw Your Ideal Office End of the Year Party

The holidays are upon us and that means it's time to start thinking about all the fun festivities you can have with your co-workers.

The office party can be a great way to celebrate the end of the year and bring together office staff. But  due to the new restrictions, you might not be able to celebrate it at the office, so why not set it up as a virtual event? This will allow all of your employees to join in, no matter where they are.

Before you plan your office party, you need to make sure that it is done in a way that will please everyone involved. There are many ways to do it, but we have compiled some of our favourite ideas for throwing your ideal office end of the year party, even online!

1.     Provide festive food

One of the best things about office parties is the food. It's a great way to show your co-workers that you appreciate them and want them to have a good time. Be sure to provide festive foods and drinks that will get everyone in the festive spirit.

Choose your office's favourite holiday party foods and make sure to deliver them!

You can find holiday-themed songs on Spotify or Apple Music, or you could even create a custom playlist specifically for your office party. Remember: everyone has different tastes and interests, so try not to limit yourself or others too much when it comes to musical choices at work parties because they may enjoy things outside their comfort zones. A few days before the party takes place, create an open playlist, and ask everyone to add in their favourite party songs!

3.     Set up games for fun

Another great way to keep everyone entertained is by setting up games for them to play. This can be anything from trivia contests to party games like charades or bingo. Not only will this keep people busy, but it will also help break the ice and get everyone talking with each other.

For a virtual event, have fun by creating custom backgrounds or give your team some festive gifs like funny glasses and photo booth decorations. These will help to get everyone in the mood for an awesome experience!

5.  Gather everyone around for a group photo at the end of the night

One of the best parts about celebrating with your company is getting to celebrate in style. So make sure you take some time after the party for an epic group photo! Even if there are only six or seven people in total that attended - it can still be fun because everyone will get into it by this point and have their spirits on high.  Do something different too--maybe print copies as holiday cards?

Include cute stickers inside that say "happy holidays from [company name]"? This is not just limited to handing these photos straight over at the end either- add them onto office notes while they're back working through emails before throwing away any old papers/notes etc. that are taking up extra space.

This provides an opportunity for creativity and teamwork, which everyone including yourself should feel comfortable in whatever environment he or she's working in so as bring about more positivity throughout this festive season towards each other!
